This book claims it is the first volume of "American anthologies devoted wholly to verses produced by Southern writers." A limited edition copy, unnumbered out of 250 printed. Text unmarked with a minor patina and numberous b/w plates with some torn tissue flyleaf and deckle edges. Bound in red cloth with gold gilt lettering, sunned edges, bumped corners and bug-eaten spine. Binding is tight and square, hinges are split but remain attached. Inscription written on both endpages. Possibly missing title page.
