BOOK PRICING

Identifying Used Paperbacks: A ‘Chamblin Bookmine’ stamp on the first or second page = a USED book.

Identifying New Paperbacks: NOT stamped. They will have a single line on the bottom of the text-block. This means they are 10% off the original cover price unless otherwise marked on the first or second page. 

Identifying Hardcovers: Priced at top right corner of the first or second page. If new, it will be marked 10-20% off the cover price. Fiction titles priced earlier than the current year can be repriced to $8.00 (if not signed or a special edition). For non-fiction, prices of $15.00 or higher from before the current year, feel free to ask a manager to check if the price can be adjusted. 

 

Used Mass Market Paperbacks: Minimum is $4.00, or ½ off the original cover price unless otherwise marked inside on the first or second page (look for our code). With the exception of Westerns (minimum is $3.50) and Smaller Regency/Harlequin Romance (minimum is $3.50). 

Used Trade Paperbacks: ½ off the original cover price unless otherwise marked inside on the first light-colored page (look for our code). The minimum for this size is $4.50.

 

CHILDRENS’ BOOKS

Follow the same guide as above. The childrens’/juvenile book minimum is $2.00, with the exception of Little Golden Books (minimum $1.00 unless marked). 

 

MOVIE PRICES

DVDs: Single disc DVDs are $2.00 unless otherwise marked on the back of the case. Add $1.00 for each additional disc. (i.e. A case with a movie & special features disc would be priced at $3.00). 

BLURAYs: Single disc blu-rays are $5.00 unless otherwise marked on the back of the case. Add $1.00 for each additional disc. (i.e. A case with a movie & special features disc would be priced at $6.00). 

TV Series: Base price is $6, unless marked otherwise on back. If the price is from before the current year, feel free to ask a manager to check if the price can be adjusted.  

 

MISC. PRICES

Vinyl: Priced individually with a little sticker on the corner of front cover. Occasionally prices will be on a sticky note found on the inner sleeve, but most have been fixed to have a sticker on the front.

Zines: Price written inside on the first page. If no price is written, look on the cover and charge the cover price.
