Assumed third edition, dated 1901 though reprinted by M.A. Donohue & Co. Green cloth boards, painted in red and black, are edge worn with corners bumped and small bleached spots dotted across the surface. Squared spine is frayed at the ends with evidence of silverfish grazing heavily around the edges. Front joint is started and rear hinge is exposed from a 1-inch peeled section of end paper. 225pp. Contents are unmarked and aged appropriately with lovely tri-tonal illustration throughout. Fully illustrated end papers are faintly foxed.
