This first edition has boards bound in black cloth that is clean with pointed corners. Top front corner is slightly frayed. White illustration remains bold and clean in center of front cover. Spine is uncreased with soft creases at the head and foot of spine. Text block has deckled pages and is canted slightly with a small stain at bottom edge. Binding is secure with loose hinges but remains secure. 379p. De Camps' signature can be found on half title page. Interior is otherwise unmarked with natural pages through out.
