Marbled boards bound in 1/2 calf with burgundy title plate on the cover. Spine decorated in gilt. Heavily worn edges with bottom corner chipped. Chipping continues slightly through text block corner. Both boards are detached, previous owner has taped them loosely to severely chipped spine. Includes all 36 double paged colored maps. Each plate shows a minor patina from age, those on the ends are lightly foxed along with endpapers. Map 12 has two closed tears along the top edge- 5" and 3" at the spine. Title is inscribed in several spots in ink.
