This assumed first edition (no date listed) has boards three quarter bound in black leather with straight, rubbed edges and chipping corners. Heavy surface stains are present with patina along the top edges and foxing along the fore edge. Spine is uncreased with gold gilt titling and 4 raised bands. Some surface wear present with rubbed edges. There is a crack at the bottom of front and back hinge which is fragile but remains intact. Text block is square with toned and lightly foxed edges. Binding is firm. 232p. End pages have toned edges and light foxing. Interior has a small penciled notation present at the top edge of front end page and title page, otherwise contents remain unmarked with thin, some creased, pages through out. Includes several trifold pages attached inside.
