Ron Chamblin
Ron is the founder and owner of Chamblins, first opening in 1976. He is usually working at the Roosevelt location, riding around on his motorcycle, or hiding out and reading something interesting about history or philosophy.
Angela
Angela has been with our company since 2014 and is the Stock Manager at both locations. She is an alumna from Flagler College & can find any title that you're looking for. She enjoys reading and being outside.
Abby
Abby has been with Chamblins since 2017 and is the Store Manager at the Roosevelt location. When she's not wranglin' books, she enjoys making her friends smile, spending time with her husband and getting lost in the woods.
J.D.
J.D. has been with our company since 2017. He is an artist & musician active in our local community.
Olga
Originally from Russia, Olga has been working in the stacks at the Roosevelt location since 2007. She can find just about anything! In her spare time she enjoys gardening, bicycling and reading funny mystery books.
Carly
Carly has been with the company since 2013 and took over as General Manager at the end of 2020. Her favorite thing about working at the bookstore is seeing people excited about the books they found & hearing about other bookstores from out-of-towners. Her in-store specialties are cookbooks, horror & vintage Nancy Drew & Wizard of Oz; but her favorite subjects to read are high fantasy, comics, biographies, & journalistic deep dives into random subjects. She lives in St. Augustine with her partner and their various pets and plants.
Johnny
Johnny has been working with Chamblins since 2018. He's an active local poet and zinester. Make sure to take a peek at his zine Happy Tapir and newest poetry release, Moss Gossamer which can be found on our shelves!
Emily
Emily has been with the company since 2010 and is the Front End Manager of the Roosevelt location. In her spare time she enjoys drawing, dogs, pies, and reading books by her favorite author, Ray Bradbury.
June
June was the beloved head of the children's department for five years. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and utilizing her skills to help people to the best of her ability. She was deeply loved by her grandchildren, family and co-workers. May her memory be a blessing.
Jenifer
Jen loves to hang out at home with her family and pets. She enjoys playing games on Nintendo Switch, cooking and eating quality food (most likely at the same time) or reading books surrounded by her enormous plant collection. She also enjoys discussions about movies and music with anyone who will listen, and can always help you find something in classic fiction, which she haunts occassionally on her off days.
Mady
Mady has worked with us since 2017. She loves researching antiques and collectibles and is usually the one to upload books to our website. She can be found watching horror movies, reading weird fiction and harassing her cats, Charlie & Bucket in her off time.
Carly
Carly is the official director in charge of the Blind Date With a Book operation. She loves reading horror and classics. Anne Rice is her queen. When she's not working here, she is teaching contemporary dance at a local studio.
Ren
Ren is a barista at the Uptown Cafe. They like to create art and design tattoos in their free time. Drawing, painting and reading graphic novels are some other favorite pastimes.
