Signed by Rudyard Kipling on half title page of volume one. A handsome 26-volume set, only lacks volume no. 7 to make it a complete twenty-seven volume set. A limited edition copy, no. 171/1050 printed. Text is unmarked with a slight patina and deckle edges. Tightly bound on all volumes with securely attached hinges. Bound in beige colored half paper, half cloth with pointed corners and red sewn in bookmarks. Title pastedowns on spines are warmly toned with mild foxing on cloth. Ex-libris bookplates on front endpages of all tomes. Minor foxing on FEP of volume 14. Damp stains from water damage present on outer front boards of vol. 3 & 19, page edges show some water marks as well. Still, clean and perfectly legible otherwise.
