Hardbound in gilt decorated green leather. Banded spine is straight and binding tight. Full gilt text block- soiled by a hard brown residue stuck to it's fore edge, also spotting rear board fore edge. Pages unmarked between decorative endpapers. Book includes folding map attached to rear, sewn-in silk pagemarker and publishers unused bookplate. Cloth covered slipcase is similarly decorated in gilt. Cloth of top edge has begun to peel and same dark residue spots spine and rear panel.
