Hardbound in pictorial stamped boards decorated in gilt, black and in blind. Spine untitled. Boards are toned and rubbed with bumped corners. Spine ends rubbed. Binding canted but secure. Includes 13 folding plates- one is detached though present and 4 reinforced with tape along fore edge. A section of "subscriber" pages have been cut from rear leaving behind nubs. Folding ad attached in back. Two spines cut from later editions have been pasted to either pastedown.
