Two volume hardcover set bound in brown calf. Banded spine with gilt titling set into red label. Both books are tanned and heavily scuffed over both boards- gilt decoration around borders is mostly rubbed away. Corners turned in. Spines beautifully intact- squared and with binding secure. Bookplates pasted to fep have name "George Rice", possibly belonging to the welsh courtier or his son, both alive during books original issuing- though unable to fully verify. Pages are all present and unmarked. Ending few deeply tanned around margins from binding.
