A privately rebound copy- binding is likely ca. late 18th century though leaves appear period appropriate. A petite hardcover bound in leather with gilt bordered covers and gilt titled banded spine. Text block painted red is mildly dulled from age. Binding remains secure and tight. Board edges are lightly bumped and are rubbed. A superficial erosion is present at the spine edge of the back board. Spine leather has begun to crack. Content is marked by normal toning and short notations to the first page of text and front paste down. The first leaf of text is missing- appearing to have never been bound in. Two bookplates are present- one with the name "William Brodie", unable to verify if this was indeed a copy of his, but is regardlessly interesting.
