Annuals from the May season of 1853. Bound with figured red cloth boards and lovely gilt rose embossed detailing on both boards and spine. Covers are heavily rubbed along the edges and surface though gilding remains intact. Rear hinge is loosened and front hinge has begun to loosen. 307pp. Includes 4 b/w illustrated plates and frontispiece. Frontispiece is heavily foxed and one plate is missing tissue. A few penciled notes, dated 1855, are present on endpapers. Fully gilt text block slightly dulled.
