Quarter bound brown boards with rounded corners are deeply worn with faded text and illustration on both sides, adding warmth and character. Hinges are split but attached. Binding is secured. Pages are unmarked with warm patina from age; scattered foxing throughout and on text-block. Spine is chipped and heavily rubbed. Pages show wrinkling from moisture exposure. Faded stain present on front end-papers to page~50. A legible reading copy and item of considerable historic value.
