415pp. Text block is detached from spine and back board, hanging on to loosened front board. Title page is detached, front flyleaf is missing and last page is torn in half with bottom piece missing- pages are otherwise unmarked and copiously illustrated with a warm patina and light pencil notes on both endpapers. Red cloth boards are deeply tanned, soiled and bug eaten in small areas. Spine is very heavily soiled and bug eaten at the crown, obscuring text and two chunks, one in the middle and one at the foot, of cloth are missing.
