101pp. Text is unmarked on beautifully illuminated pages with bright orange detailing. Includes black and white photographic frontispiece of the author protected by original tissue and green illustrated endpapers. All 3 tipped-in photographs are included though "The Manger at Bethlehem" is missing tissue and "The Church of Nativity" tip-in and tissue are detached. Front hinge is loose and binding at the head of spine is peeling back. Top edge gilt on tanned deckle edged text block. Green cloth boards are squared with bright gilt, orange and deep green decor on the front board and spine; corners are bumped and and edges are rubbed. There is a large white residual stain over the front board from the bottom to middle that slightly lifts the orange paint of the title text.
