Complete 2-volume set bound in brown decorative boards with gilt decorations along edges and detailing spine. Binding is square in both volumes, hinges are all intact except for a small split from the back board of volume two. Text is unmarked on lightly patinated pages; text block is sun faded but orange and blue marbling is still noticeable. The spines of both volumes are chipped at the head and foot, with especially deep gouges through to the underlying binding at the feet; gilt remains bright.
